Update Your Outdoor Lighting on the Cheap

Recently we bought a home, and decided to update the lighting on the front porch. We were surprised at how expensive outdoor lighting can be!

We were saved by the “display” clearance sale at our local Lowes. These display items are not to be treated like the local big-box LCD tv displays. When these lights go clearance shop till you drop! You can save over 50% of the shelf cost. We replaced our front lamp for, only $19.99, saving over $25! Inside, we used this same deal to pick up a dual ceiling fan for only $95, originally over $300.

I hope sharing this tip helps those in need of an inexpensive update! Please, make sure to leave the Mid-Century themed fixtures for me!

DIY Cupcake Stand and Cake Plate!

My visit this week to the KHQA Morning Show. I shared with Lindsey a perfect project for broken plate sets. If you only have a few pieces of a china pattern you love, why not make it into a useable item you can be proud of!
